“My soul waits in silence for God only, for my hope is in him. He only is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I shall not be shaken on God my salvation and my glory rest; the rock of my strength, my refuge is in God. Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us.“ Psalms 62:5-8

Testimonial:

As I evaluate my life thus far, I can’t help but be eternally grateful to God. I am immensely appreciative for the individuals who have been apart of shaping and molding me into the woman that I am today. As a child growing up in Trinity A.M.E. Zion church, I remember Bishop Joseph Johnson opening my eyes to the wonderful world of Christian Education by placing me in positions that would further my Christian growth. His guidance gave me the inspiration to strive for higher goals and to never let others underestimate me despite my age. It is that type of encouragement and inspiration that is essential in the livelihood of young adults. I must say that my 2nd family (the Trinity family) has also touched my life in such a significant way to help me progress in my Christian growth. More specifically my pastor Dr. Michael A. Frencher Sr., my advisor and cheerleader for my local/and District YACM Mrs. Joan Bridges who have not only showed their love for me but opened the doors for young adults to have a voice. These individuals along with a host of others supported me as I became active in this ministry on the denomination. I had the honor and privilege to serve on the Connectional Varick International Christian Youth Council (VCYC) from 1998-2002 as the Recording Secretary and there after I began my season of preparation of understanding what all YACM had to bring. What I see is that we need to continue to motivate young adults to serve Christ. Young Adults come from so many paths in life and at times we tend to forget our focus which needs to be on Jesus. With that in mind, WE need to make ourselves accessible so we can awaken and revitalize our brothers and sisters and we can collaborate and reach the masses.
